Crowns typically called ‘caps’ have been around for years. Bridges are crowns fused together. Are all crowns the same? No.

Crowns range from non-metallic crowns to non-precious porcelain-fused to metal to semi-precious to precious crowns.

High quality crowns are precious porcelain fused to metal crowns (typically porcelain-fused-to gold crowns.)

The advantage of porcelain-fused-to gold crowns is the adaptability and tissue-friendly qualities.

Our office only uses the highest quality crowns. We place the crown in temporarily for a week or two, to give you time to inspect the shade and contour at your leisure and only once you’re satisfied will we place it in permanently.
